A saleswoman was robbed of $280,000 in cash as well as other valuables in the vicinity of First Bridge, Golden Grove, East Bank Demerara on Monday.
According to the police, the victim, Nikita Mohabir, was walking home from work when she was attacked by the three suspects and relieved of the cash, an iPhone and a handbag containing documents.
The police stated that the three suspects, who were on bicycles, pounced on the victim. One of the suspects then pointed a cutlass at her and instructed her to remain silent. The said suspect grabbed her bag and the three men subsequently escaped.
