The Guyana Police Force (GPF) is currently investigating the murder of a man on Saturday morning at Perseverance Backdam, North West District.
The suspect has since been apprehended.
The victim has only been identified as `Anil’. The police were unable to find out any other particulars about the victim as he had no identification on him at the time of his death.
The incident is said to have occurred at 11 am.
A reliable source stated that the suspect is a minor who accompanied `Anil’ into the backdam.
At about 1.45 am yesterday, the suspect was arrested by public-spirited persons in the area who handed him over to the police.
Investigations are ongoing.
