Woman gets bail on cop assault, disorderly behaviour charges

A woman has been released on $40,000 bail after she denied assaulting a police officer and behaving disorderly in a public place.

Shanice Farinha was on Friday brought before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly in a city court where she denied two charges.

It is alleged that she committed both offences on June 1, at Croal Street, Georgetown.

Following not-guilty pleas, she was asked to lodge  $30,000  bail on the assault charge and $10,000  bail on the disorderly behaviour charge. The matters were adjourned until September 13.
