Ministry of Housing aiming to deliver 400 house lots in Region 10

The Ministry of Housing will this morning continue an exercise to deliver 400 house lots and 144 land titles and transports to residents of Region 10.

According to a post on the Facebook page of the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA), the exercise began yesterday at the Amelia’s Ward Primary School and will continue there today.

Lindeners were yesterday given the opportunity to interact with managers and staff from the Land Allocation, Surveys and Planning, Community Development and Accounts Departments, as well as, the Enforcement Unit and Legal Secretariat, the CH&PA said.

Staff from the Guyana Water Incorporated and a number of banking and insurance institutions have also been providing assistance for the prospective homeowners.

The CH&PA says that the exercise marks the largest allocation in the region over the past five  years. Minister of Housing and Water, Collin Croal and Susan Rodrigues, Minister in the Ministry of Housing and Water were on the ground, along with managers and staff of the various agencies.

COVID-19 measures are in place and members of the public are required to use a sanitation booth upon entry, wear a mask and social distance.
