The West Indies women team’s captain’s ascension comes on the back of a sixth ODI century and a hat trick.

Taylor’s tally with the bat saw her gaining four positions and displacing India’s Mithali Raj as the number-one batter.

She also gained two places in the all-rounders’ table overhauling  Australia’s Ellyse Perry in the process.

Her bowling performance has also seen her moving three places up and she now sits in the 16th position among bowlers in the format.

Various players also put their hands up in the series win and off-spinner, Anisa Mohammed has moved up two spots to 26th in the bowling rankings while Hayley Matthews (34th), Shamila Connell (29th) and Karishma Ramharack (71st) all moved up the bowling rankings.

Batting-wise, Deandra Dottin has re-entered the rankings at number 28th position while in the all-rounders category, she sits at 47th.

Kyshona Knight has been elevated up the batting rankings by seven spots into 53rd while Matthews remains at the number 29th position.

Current rivals Pakistan Women’s team spinner, Nida Dar gained three positions in the bowling rankings to reach 29th position while her fast bowling teammate, Diana Baig jumped one spot to number 32nd.
