Ranks from the Guyana Police Force (GPF) are receiving COVID-19 vaccines in a two-day drive spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner, Operations (ag) Clifton Hicken at the Police Officers’ Mess Annex.

The campaign began yesterday and is part of the Force’s objective to ensure that it achieves 100% vaccination for all its ranks, a release on the GPF Facebook page said.

Throughout the two days, ranks will be given the opportunity to receive their first or second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Thereafter, each rank will complete 15 minutes of observation before leaving.

Present at the event also were Deputy Commissioner Administration (ag) Calvin Brutus, Force Welfare Officer Deputy Superintendent Jewel Sullivan, Force (IT) Communications Officer Superintendent Jermaine Johnson and other senior and junior ranks of the Force.

Hicken thanked the representatives from the Ministry of Health for the timely and much needed vaccines.
