Rose Hall man arrested during bid to steal cow – police

A Rose Hall Town, Corentyne, man is now in police custody after he was nabbed while allegedly attempting to steal a cow during the wee hours of Thursday.

According to the Guyana Police Force, around 1.20 am, police officers were on patrol at the JC Chandisingh Secondary School Street located when they “observed an animal which was tied with a rope around its neck driven by a male.”

However, after spotting the ranks the man quickly abandoned the unbranded animal and ran away. The report added that the ranks took possession of the animal and took it to the Rose Hall Town Police Outpost.

However, after continuing their patrol, the ranks were able to arrest the suspect, who had in his possession a blue canvas rope, a white canvas rope, and a cap with torchlight.
