Accused maintain innocence in murder of Gafoor’s manager

The trial of David Outar and Patrick Ross, who are accused of murdering Gafoor’s manager Terry Lackhan, is set to commence on September 27 before Justice Sandil Kissoon at the High Court in Georgetown.

The jury that will be hearing the case was empaneled on Tuesday morning.

The allegation against the jointly-charged duo is that they murdered Lackhan at his Herstelling, East Bank Demerara home on July 21, 2016.

They have pleaded not guilty to the capital charge. Prosecutor Lisa Cave has indicated that the state will be calling some 20 witnesses.

Both accused are being represented by attorney Ravindra Mohabir.

Lackhan, 55, was found dead by a neighbour in his home.
