Security officer gets bail on aggravated robbery charge

Seon Isaacs, 28, a security officer of Lot 21 ‘C’ Field Sophia was released on $120,000 bail after being charged with aggravated robbery.

Isaacs made his appearance at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court last Friday where Senior Magistrate Leron Daly read the charge to him. It is alleged that on August 23, 2021, at Guyhoc, Isaacs robbed Tavel Brown of $700,000 in cash and two cellphones valued $60,000, a total value of  $760,000. He pleaded not guilty to this charge.

According to the facts, Isaacs and Brown are known to each other. On the day in question, Isaacs and several other persons who were intoxicated approached Brown. The police said that an argument ensued and Isaacs armed himself with a knife which he used to stab Brown in his abdomen, while three others relieved him of the said articles that were in his possession. Isaacs was placed on $120,000 bail with the condition that he report to the East Ruimveldt police station every Monday. The matter was adjourned until November 5.
