Dear Editor,
While the call from a member of the joinder party and MP, who also happens to be Deputy Speaker, for international assistance in the hiring process of the next GECOM CEO and other top functionaries has merit, however I am equally convinced the Chairperson in her prudent judgement and diligence made the prudent call to not go that route. She is confident the Commission has the capability and capacity to undertake the interview and selection process in a professional and efficient manner. Such confidence must not be seen as misplaced but given every opportunity to succeed.
