Dear Editor,
Surely the Government cannot be pleased with the seven percent increase which amounts to five thousand to public servants in receipt of the minimum salary, in view of rising cost of living. How can this be seen as conscionable? The authorities got this one wrong. The increase for this category of employees should be tax free. But it is felt, better could have been offered at least for the lower rung employees. Seven percent can’t wuk!
