The Ministry of Health yesterday said that one more person who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 987.
The latest fatality is a fully vaccinated man, 69, from Pomeroon-Supenaam.
Meanwhile, the ministry reported that there were 66 new cases of the virus. Seventeen persons are in the ICU. The number of persons in institutional isolation is 71.
