The Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) will  host its Annual General Meeting  and  election of officer bearers on December 19.

This was confirmed following an Ordinary General Meeting on Sunday at Port Mourant Cricket Club along with a motion to have Colin Bynoe serving as the returning officer

The OGM was attended by 10 clubs and two sub-associations.

During the OGM, the minutes from the last AGM were adopted and passed while treasurer, Dr. Cecil Beharry, submitted his financial statement.

According to a correspondence from the BCB, “President Hilbert Foster provided a comprehensive report of his administration for 2021. He also informed members that he would be seeking reelection as president of the BCB next month.”

Also coming out of the OGM was the disclosure that Skeldon, Albion, Cotton Tree, Rose Hall Canje and Port Mourant Grounds will be submitted to the Guyana Cricket Board as venues to host Inter County matches.

Additionally, members observed a minute’s silence in memory of Michael Hyles, Joseph Simon and Sahadeo Singh.

Foster, at the conclusion of the meeting, urged the members to work hard and to remain united as efforts were still be made to create division.
