Beacons ‘A’ won the Bartica Football Association (BFA) Futsal Championship Playoff, defeating Potaro Strikers ‘A’ on Wednesday evening at the Community Centre ground.
It turned out to be a competitive engagement with Beacons ‘A’ prevailing by a 2-1 score-line to secure the championship. With the result, both teams will represent the association at the Guyana Football Federation (GFF)/Kashif and Shanghai Futsal Championship which is slated to commence on December 14th.
Meanwhile, Jones Avenue downed Almanac Kings 2-1 in the third place payoff. In the earlier semi-final matches, Beacons ‘A’ dismissed Jones Avenue 3-1, while Potaro Strikers ‘A’ bested Almanac Kings 5-3. Prior to the final, two exhibition matches were staged.
