Potaro Strikers and Beacons will contest this evening’s final in the ‘Rats’ Memorial Football Championship, following semi-final wins on Thursday evening at the Bartica Community Center ground.
Potaro Strikers brushed aside Rivers View 4-1. Shane Jones led the way with a hat-trick in the 10th, 50th, and 75th minutes, while Keron Spencer opened the scoring in the fourth minute. For the loser, Andrew Simmons netted in the 30th minute.
Meanwhile, the Beacons edged the Rising Stars 1-0 via a Ronaldo Parris second-half conversion in the 68th minute.
