Trophy Stall Christmas badminton tourney serves off tomorrow

The festive season is upon us but badminton players in Guyana will not be giving each other a free pass when the annual Trophy Stall sponsored competition commences today at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

Last Saturday, a representative of Trophy Stall, handed over the trophies to national badminton champion Narayan Ramdhani.

The trophies will be presented to the winning players upon the conclusion of the various categories of competition Friday.

“The business has been a long-standing supporter of the sport over the years,” a release from the Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) stated.

This year’s tournament will see players facing off in Open doubles and mixed doubles games from 17:00hrs to 21:00 hrs. Monday and Wednesday with the finals set for Friday.
