Another Trinidad police officer dies from COVID

(Trinidad Guardian) Sixty-one-year-old Cpl Ian Regis passed away yesterday at the St James Medical Hospital after contracting COVD-19. In a press release issued today the executive and officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service extend condolences to the family, friends and colleagues, Cpl Ian Regis.

Regis who had 28 years’ service was last attached to Court and Process Branch, Port-of-Spain Division. He is survived by his wife and son. Supt. (Ag), Alva Gordon, of the Court and Process Branch, described Cpl Regis as a very hard worker who was always willing to assist his colleagues both on and off the job.

Cpl Regis was a very passionate officer who left no task undone until it was completed. He would be missed by his is colleagues for his unwavering commitment to duty.” Cpl Regis’ passing brings the total number of Police Officers passing due to COVID to 20.
