Three lucky winners of the “Lucky Dollar Christmas Win a Room Makeover Promotion” were announced yesterday.
The three are Shamayne Liverpool, Satesh Ramgopaul and Verita Singh.
Liverpool who bought two gas stoves and two pot sets said that she was super excited and grateful for her prize since she has been supporting the store since 2014.
As a first time shopper at Lucky Dollar, Ramgopaul who bought a washing machine and dryer valued over $180,000 said that it was a great experience. “When I got the call I was driving so I had to pull over immediately because I was shocked,” the visibly excited man related. He also disclosed his plans to select a number of items in the store to fulfill his room makeover.
A nervous and thrilled Verita Singh said she bought items valued over $80,000 which made her eligible for a chance to win the prize. She also expressed how grateful she was to be a winner of the prize.
Singh purchased her items from the Mon Repos Branch on the East Coast, while Liverpool and Ramgopaul bought their items from the Main Street Branch in Georgetown. All three of the winners said that it was the first time they had won something from such a store.
The promotion commenced on November 12 and ran until December 24. Persons who purchased items worth $59,999 and over in credit were qualified to take part and were issued coupons.
Each room makeover is valued at $500,000 and winners can choose from any of the items in the store to redecorate their bedroom at home.
