Dear Editor,
On Jan. 7th, 2022, it was brought to my attention that a letter to the editor entitled `The pandemic has taught us that we need to work collaboratively if we are to beat it’ was published on Jan. 6th, 2022 in the Stabroek News. The author of said letter was one Anna Maria Perreira. The name is uncannily similar to mine and efforts by me to have you provide clarity or validation of identity have proved futile.
Consequently, I am requesting that the newspaper acknowledge in print that I Dr. Anna Perreira is not, nor ever was associated with this letter at the next printing/ publishing of letters-to-the editor.
