Bilingy, Wong and Moore cop titles

Rising star Jasmine Billingy continues to rule the roost in the girls’ division by copping three titles when the Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) Mashramani competition commenced Wednesday.

Playing at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, the 11-year-old Billingy, continued from where she left off at the national championships by winning the U19, U15 and U13 divisions.

The two boys’ titles at stake were shared with Colin Wong winning the U15 title and Malachi Moore the boys U13.

The losing finalist on both occasions was Ebo Mc Neil.

In the absence of her main rival Thuraia Thomas, Billingy won the round robin final from Samara Sukhai with Akira Watson, third.

It was a similar situation in the U15 final with the same three players contesting the round robin final and having identical results.

Billingy then made it a hat-trick of title triumphs when she defeated Sukhai 11-5, 11-7 and 11-9.

In the semi-finals Billingy defeated  Watson 3-0 while defeated Shackecy Damon 3-0.
