A labourer has been placed on remand after police said that he used a knife to rob a woman of her cellphone and cash.
Richard Moore, called ‘Baby Face’, 52, was taken before Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
He denied that on February 24, at Croal Street, Georgetown, while armed with a knife, he robbed Jessica Allicock of a cellphone valued $39,000 and $10,000 cash.
The Police Prosecutor objected to bail and told the court that the man has other pending matters. After listening to the Prosecutor, the Magistrate denied bail and adjourned the matter until March 14.
