A 33-year-old man is wanted by the police in relation to a series of armed robberies which were committed during last year in Georgetown.
In a wanted bulletin issued yesterday, the Guyana Police Force (GPF) said that Ronlee Rampersaud is wanted for questioning in connection with the crimes which occurred between May 15, 2021 and December 30, 2021.
Rampersaud, whose last known address is Lot 124 Sideline Dam, La Penitence, Georgetown is known to the police.
During February last year, he was among four men who were remanded to prison for allegedly robbing businesswoman, Selina Edwards of $200,000. Edwards was also shot during the robbery.
Prior to this, he was sentenced to nine years imprisonment for two counts of armed robbery, one count of attempted armed robbery and two counts of discharging a loaded firearm, which were committed in 2014.
