Dear Editor,
As we watch the brutal bombing of Ukraine by Vladimir Putin’s Russian army, it becomes increasingly urgent to acknowledge and act on the fact that female political leadership is indispensable to humanity’s survival. I know that women have served and continue to serve valiantly in war and are also capable of atrocity, but I find it difficult to imagine a female political leader ordering the destruction of entire cities and the deliberate bombing of hospitals, schools and residential areas.
I believe that such horrors are almost exclusively manifestations of a certain type of male mind.
