Finance Minister Dr. Ashni Singh on Tuesday met with British High Commissioner to Guyana, Jane Miller, and two visiting officials from the United Kingdom, Nicholas Lea, Deputy Chief Economist of the Foreign Commonwealth and Department Office (FCDO), and Katerina Evzona, Inclusive Growth Team Leader in the Caribbean Development Team (FCDO).
A release from the Ministry of Finance said that the meeting’s aim was to discuss Guyana’s growth and ongoing development, as well as cooperation in key development areas.
Singh also took the opportunity to acknowledge the Government of the United Kingdom for their support provided through the United Kingdom Caribbean Infrastructure Fund (UKCIF) programme towards the funding for the construction of the road between Linden to Mabura Hills.
