Trinidad PM in surprise Cabinet reshuffle

(Trinidad Guardian) – Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has reshuffled his Cabinet, making several significant changes on Wednesday afternoon.

Guardian Media has been able to confirm from reliable sources that Faris Al-Rawi has been removed as Attorney General and has been reassigned to the Ministry of Local Government.

The country’s new Attorney General is former President of the Law Association Reginald Armour.

Local Government Minister Kazim Hosein has also been moved to the Ministry of Agriculture, following the resignation of Agriculture Minister Clarence Rambharat for family reasons.

Other changes to the Cabinet include the appointment of Camille Robinson Regis as Minister of Housing, replacing Penelope Beckles, who has been assigned to the Ministry of Planning.
