Dear Editor,
This is just a note to say thank you to the President of Guyana, Irfaan Ali, on behalf of those in the Christian community who were opposed to some of the Covid 19 regulations, particularly the compulsory face masks, vaccines and restrictions on gathering in large numbers. There were some in the Christian community who were praying ardently for this day – the reopening of the country and the lifting of the Covid 19 restrictions. We saw these as extremely oppressive, having placed our trust in the power of God for our protection. Therefore, such news brings us great joy as our prayers have been answered, and the work of the Lord, both locally and internationally, can now be done more freely.
