St Rose’s High romps to victory over Charlestown Secondary

St Roses High defeated Charlestown Secondary by 10 wickets to win the Our Life-ARD Inter Secondary School Tape-Ball Competition which was staged on Saturday April 2nd at the D’Urban Park tarmac in Georgetown, an official release from the organisers has confirmed.

Asked to set a target, Charlestown tallied 48/4 in their allotted four overs. However, St Roses romped to the target in 3.1 overs, following a score of 50 without loss.

The correspondence further disclosed that another tournament will be conducted on Saturday at the same venue from 9:30am. The event will be sponsored by P&P Insurance Brokers, and the winning team will pocket $50,000.

Teams from East Coast Demerara, West Demerara, Georgetown, and East Bank Demerara, are scheduled to compete. The event is coordinated and organised by James ‘Sports Ambassador’ Lewis and the Holy Family Bible Club.
