$300,000 bail for men allegedly found wrapping cocaine pellets

The two men who the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) said it found wrapping cocaine pellets in March were on Friday granted $300,000 bail each.

Ron Reid, 44, and Nigel Dundas, 45, appeared before Magistrate Leron Daly in Georgetown, where they had been charged with having in their possession 1.084 kilogrammes of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking on March 2, 2022.

Although bail was granted, Reid and Dundas were required to lodge their passports at the court and report to the CANU headquarters every Monday at 9am until their next court hearing, which will be on May 20, 2022.

On March 2, 2022, CANU had reported that at Front Road, West Ruimveldt, Georgetown, the men had 100 cocaine pellets, worth $1.2 million, in their possession.
