Nedd successfully lobbies for FIVB Development Centre here

President of the Guyana Volleyball Federation (GVF) Levi Nedd has lobbied for a range of development projects from the Federation Internationale de Volleyball(FIVB) including a Development Centre.

Nedd is currently participating in the 76th  Congress of the South American Volleyball Confederation.

The Congress, which commenced April 13, is being held in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Nedd held discussions with FIVB President Ary Garcia and President of the South American Confederation  Marco Tullio G. Teixeira on the way forward for volleyball in Guyana, where he requested assistance for a number of developmental projects through the World Volleyball Donations platform (FIVB).

Among the main requests are  a volleyball floor and other equipment, Technical Development in officiating (Refereeing) and indoor coaching.

Nedd also took the opportunity to renew ties with Brasil (Big Brother Twinning) as well as establish relationships with French Guiana and Suriname for participation in tournaments.

Additionally, Nedd said, Guyana is looking to attend and participate in the South American male and female indoor tournaments to be held in Asuncion, Paraguay, from the 2nd to the 6th October 2022 for males and 10th to 14 October 2022 for females.

The GVF is also looking at participating in a male and  female Beach Volleyball tournament from 11th to 15th October also in Paraguay.
