A construction worker died in a hit and run accident at Better Hope on the East Coast Demerara last night.
Police said that 37-year-old pedestrian Lizardo Bastardo of Better Hope South was hit at about 11.55 pm by a white motor car.
Exiobar Bastardo went to the accident scene and identified the body of the deceased pedestrian to be that of his brother.
