The Guyana Police Force today said that a member of the Guyana Defence Force is in custody over a violent robbery at Mahaica last evening.
A 17-year-old sales girl was attacked by three men while was riding home on a bicycle with her friend. The victim’s friend was struck in his head with a toy gun.
Two phones valued at $170,000 were stolen in the attack.
The suspect was later taken into custody.
