Trial underway over murder of agriculturalist

The trial of Donnel Trapp who is accused of the 2016 murder of Soesdyke Hill Foot farmer Anthony Breedy, is currently underway before Justice Jo-Ann Barlow at the High Court in Demerara.

The jury that will be hearing the case was empaneled following Trapp’s arraignment yesterday morning at which he pleaded not guilty to murdering the agriculturist during a robbery between March 12th and 14th, 2016.

The accused is being represented by attorneys-at-law Dexter Smartt and Jevon Cox; while Senior State Counsel Lisa Cave and Latifah Elliott are appearing for the prosecution.

Breedy was discovered in the bottom flat of his Lot 67 Hill Foot, Soesdyke/Linden Highway home.
