The Christianburg Hard-court will stage the semi-final, and subsequent final in the Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Linden edition tomorrow.

Tournament organizer Rawle ‘Boneyman’ Gittens’ confirmed the decision via a press release yesterday. The  matches were to be held May 7th at the same venue but were cancelled due to persistent rainfall which made the playing surface unplayable.

Although the semi-final round, and the final was tentatively set for May 14th, it has been confirmed by the sponsors and coordinator that the event will conclude tomorrow.

Gittens explained, “Look-ing at the impending weather forecast for both days, Friday is scheduled to have better weather, so we decided to move the games to Friday instead of Saturday that we had initially announced. The teams and the officials from Banks DIH are on board with the switch, everyone has been informed of the decision, including the public. All systems are in place for Friday.”

Defending champions Swag Entertainment will oppose Silver Bullets and DC Ballers will lock horns with Amazings.

The winners will progress to the final with the losers facing off in the third place playoff.

Swag Entertainment defeated Darkside 2-0 in their quarterfinal clash while Silver Bullets squeaked past the Germans outfit 2-1.

Meanwhile, Amazings sent a stern warning to the field with a comfortable 3-1 win over High Rollers in the prior round, whilst DC Ballers needled newcomer Whap-Whap 1-0 in an unlikely result.

Winners of the semi-final matches will progress to the championship match. The losers will contest the third-place playoff. The eventual tournament victor will pocket $300,000 and the championship trophy.

They will also earn an automatic berth to the national championship. The runners-up will receive $200,000 while the third and the fourth place finishers will receive $100,000, and $70,000 respectively.
