Guyana Breweries Incorporated (GBI) under their Stag Beer brand, will serve as the titular sponsor of the East Demerara Football Association (EDFA) Senior Men’s League, which is slated to commence on Sunday at the Golden Grove ground, East Coast Demerara.
This was confirmed yesterday following the official launch which was held at the company’s Beterverwagting (BV) headquarters yesterday. Stag Beer official, Mark DaSilva, represented the company at the event, while several members of the competing teams, as well executives of the EDFA, were in attendance.
The teams were presented with balls and training vests, compliments of the Guyana Football Federation.
On Sunday at 16:00hrs, Melanie will oppose Mahaica Determinators, while Dynamic FC and Haslington FC will match skills at 18:00hrs. Prior to the matches, a march past will be held which will feature all the participants.
The other participating teams are: Airy Hall Stars FC, Ann’s Grove United FC, Victoria Kings FC, Victoria Scorpions FC, Buxton Stars FC, and Buxton United.
