Undercover journalism is needed

Dear Editor,

Where are the real stories we the readers are looking for and the secrets of what’s happening in our paradise- Guyana? A little more excitement would be great to sparkle the news industry. I ‘m talking about as the movie – “Never been kissed” starring actress Drew Barrymore where the journalist goes uncover and back to high school posed as a student to get the greatest scoop of the century.

Undercover journalism is needed since it gives quality stories and can be eye opening to the public. Undercover journalism is a form of journalism in which a reporter tries to infiltrate in a community by posing as somebody friendly to that community.

“Journalism is what maintains democracy.” “It’s the force for progressive social change.” Andrew Vachss. “Journalism can never be silent: that is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault. It must speak, and speak immediately, while the echoes of wonder, the claims of triumph and the signs of horror are still in the air.” Henry Grunwald

Sincerely,
