`Two Colours’ goes on trial over murder of beautician

The trial of Lennox Wayne, called ‘Two Colours,’ for the 2014 murder of Lusignan beautician, Ashmini Harriram is set to commence this morning before the High Court in Demerara.

The jury which will be hearing the matter was empanelled yesterday morning before Justice Jo-Ann Barlow.

The capital indictment against Wayne to which he pleaded not guilty, alleges that he murdered Harriram called ‘Monesha,’ on July 10th, 2014 at the Lusignan Railway Embankment, East Coast Demerara.

The trial will officially commence at 9:15 this morning.

Wayne is being represented by a battery of attorneys led by Ronald Daniels.

The State’s case meanwhile, will be presented by Prosecutor Latifah Elliot who will be calling more than a dozen witnesses.
