The trial of Sherwin Clarke who is accused of murdering Better Hope pensioner David Ramkissoon, commenced yesterday morning before Justice Sandil Kissoon at the High Court in Demerara.
The jury hearing the case was empaneled yesterday.
The capital indictment against Clarke called “Hot Skull” to which he has pleaded not guilty, states that he on August 21st, 2016, at Better Hope, East Coast Demerara, he murdered Ramkissoon, 76, during the course of a robbery.
Clarke is being represented by defence attorney Damian DaSilva.
Meanwhile, the State is being represented by Prosecutor Taneisha Saygon and Muntaz Ali, who will be calling just under a dozen witnesses.
