Edghill tours IndianOil in New Delhi

Minister of Public Works, Juan Edghill, who is currently leading a delegation to India has been given a guided tour of a section of IndianOil, “The Energy of India”, located at Tikri Kalan, New Delhi.

A release from the ministry said that the Minister was joined by a delegation from Guyana’s High Commission in India.

India is keen on accessing some of Guyana’s oil production and there have been discussions between Georgetown and New Delhi on this.

Prior to the tour, the release said that Edghill met with India’s Minister of Power, New and Renewable Energy, R.K. Singh.

The release said that India has also committed to giving Guyana support as the country ventures into the area of Natural Gas, power generation and renewable energy. 

Edghill is currently on an official visit for the launch ceremony of the new ferry vessel for the Northwest District. That event is scheduled to take place today in Kolkata, India.
