Agricola, Touches, Red Force, Slugs and Lack Ah Scene recorded contrasting victories when the Mocha Village Cup continued on Friday evening at the Basketball Tarmac.

Agricola dismantled Stabroek Ballerz 5-0 with Akeem Rollins leading the rout with a brace while Bryan Prince, Bilaal Jabar, and Randolph Wagner scored one goal apiece.

Similarly, Red Force destroyed Men at Work 3-0. Ryan Skinner crafted a double whist Orin James also scored in the lopsided encounter.

Likewise, Slugs riddled One ‘n’ Move 3-0 with the trident of Andrew Bennette, Sherwayne Fordyce, and Alick Bunbury etching their names on the scorer’s sheet with individual conversions.

Meanwhile, Touches edged Unruly 2-1 compliments of a Stephon Jupiter double. For the losers, Andrew Murray Jr., found the back of the net.

On the other hand, Lack Ah Scene squeaked past Family 1-0. Dorville Stewart made his presence felt with the only goal of the contest. 

In other results, Xtra Mature and Dell Superbet contested a 2-2 stalemate. Josiah Jones and Rashleigh Ramsay netted for Xtra Mature while Reshaun Ritch recorded a double for Dell Superbet.

Also, Top Man Squad edged Back Street 1-0 in a playoff encounter. Samuel McKenzie was in target in the win.

Lyliton Ramsay, coordinator of the tournament during a brief comment said, “The draw for the knockout section of the tournament will be staged on Sunday (today) as the group stage finishes. The knockouts will start on Tuesday.”

Over $700,000 in cash and prizes will be up for grabs in the tournament. The event is sponsored by Guinness, Hungry Helpers, and the Mocha Arcadia NDC. The tournament continues on Tuesday at the same venue.
