Team Denzil Gillis defeated Team Shawn Semple to clinch the South Turkeyen Sports Committee (STSC) Father’s Day small goal football competition at the Vryheid’s Lust tarmac on Sunday.
Team Denzil Gillis prevailed 2-1. Gillis recorded a brace in the victory. On target in the loss was Andrew Cosbert. Due to the result, the victor walked away with a cash prize, and the championship trophy, with the loser relegated to the second place package of a financial incentive and the respective accolade.
Meanwhile, the third place finisher was Team Kaden Beckles. The event was sponsored by Nigel Hinds Financial Services and Bannas Foundation.
