Ministry issues invitation for rehab work to Sixth St, Cummings Lodge

The Ministry of Public Works has extended invitations to bidders for the reconstruction of Sixth Street, Cummings Lodge.

An advertisement appeared in the July 10th edition of Stabroek News.

On June 20th this newspaper highlighted the deplorable state of Sixth Street, Cummings Lodge after a concerned resident wrote a Letter to the Editor expressing dissatisfaction with the current state of the road.

Resident R. Khan, in his letter in the June 16 edition of Stabroek News, denounced the conditions, saying that potholes in the road started out as a few small holes about six months ago and have since expanded to become huge craters. In the letter, Khan said residents of Cummings Lodge, Industry, university students and public transport operators were those most affected by the situation.
