English elected GFC president

Dr Ivor English was elected President of the Georgetown Football Club (GFC), at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Electoral Congress on Thursday July 28 at the facility’s Bourda location.

This was disclosed in an official release from the club. Dr English will lead an executive committee which comprises 1st Vice-President, Phillip Fernandes; 2nd Vice-President, Ivor O’Brien; Executive Secretary, Charles Collymore Jr; Executive Treasurer, Roger Perreira; Football Manager, Shad Fernandes; Indoor Game Coordinator, Gladston Serrao; and Committee Members, Lancelot Wills, and Marlon Yenkana.

Similarly, a Ballot Committee was also elected which contains Melbourne Austin, Nevil Todd, Linden Giddings, Osbourne Gomes, and Sydney Smith.

Prior to the start of the meeting, a minute of silence was conducted for club stalwarts Bobby Fernandes and Dane Kendall.
