O’Brien elected president of GFC

Curbette Victorine, Ivor O’Brien and Wayne Dover were elected presidents of the Buxton United, Georgetown Football Club and Guyana Football Coaches Association respectively when those entities held their electoral congresses ahead of the upcoming Guyana Football Federation (GFF) congress later this month.

The above organisations join the growing list of affiliates that have staged their elections ahead of the GFF Congress on November 14th.

Victorine was elected on October 31st and will lead an executive committee featuring Vice Presidents George Gibson and Aminika Armstrong, Secretary Eton Moses, Treasurer Kevin Crandon and Assistant Secretary/Treasurer Shawn Adams.

Dover was elected on October 29th and will lead an executive featuring Vice President Kester Garnett, Secretary Sampson Gilbert, Treasurer Mariska Williams, Assistant Secretary/Treasurer Challus McKinnon and Committee Members Dillion Roberts and Lennox Adams.

O’Brien was elected on October 28th to lead an executive comprising of Senior Vice President Ivor English, Junior Vice President Peter Baker, Honorary Secretaries Roger Perreira and Faizal Khan, Assistant Secretary/Treasurer Alicia DeAbreu, Committee Members Charles Greaves and James Bovell, Football Captain Shad Fernandes and Indoor Games Captain Gladstone Serrao.

Presently, the National Association for Women Football and the East Demerara Football Association are set to stage their elections today while Vergenoegen Elite Club Slingerz FC will stage their election on Saturday.
