Lady Jaguars suffer second consecutive loss in CONCACAF U15 Girls Football Championship

The Lady Jaguars suffered their second consecutive loss in the CONCACAF U15 Girls Football Championship, going down to Nicaragua 1-3 yesterday at the Hillsborough County Sportsplex Field in Tampa Bay, Florida.

With the defeat, the Guyanese ended their group campaign on a point following a record of one draw and two defeats. The Guyanese in their second fixture on Monday at the same venue, lost to the Cayman Islands by an identical score.

In their opening match, the Lady Jaguars drew 2-2 with the Turks and Caicos. The 17-member squad features nine domestically based players and is coached by Delon Williams.

The assistant coach is Kayla DeSouza, with Natalie Nedd serving as the goalkeeper coach. Guyana will now enter the positional round where they will face-off against Turks and Caicos in a repeat of their opening encounter.
