With a berth in the semi-final round up for grabs, the ‘Keep Ya Five Alive’ Futsal Championship will resume on Saturday evening with the quarterfinal section at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue, Georgetown.
In the opening match at 19:00hrs, newcomer Slingerz FC will take aim at Beterverwagting (BV), while the second fixture will pit Future Stars against Swag Entertainment of Linden from 20:00 hours.
In the third contest, Sparta Boss will lock horns with East Front Road at 21:00 hours, with Back Circle battling Stabroek Ballers in the feature affair at 22:00 hours.
The winner of game one will oppose the victor of match four, with the second semi-final pitting the respective victors of fixture two and three against each other. The eventual champion will pocket $800,000, and a trophy, with the second, third, and fourth place finishers receiving $400,000, $200,000 and $100,000 respectively, and the corresponding accolades. The final is pencilled for the 27th at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
