BASSETERRE, St Kitts, , CMC – Stunning unbeaten half-centuries from left-handers Amir Jangoo and Raymon Reifer propelled Jamaica Tallawahs to a tournament-high total, laying the platform for a dominant 41-run victory over Barbados Royals.

Asked to bat first, Tallawahs rattled up 162 for three off their ten overs with Jangoo slamming 68 not out off 27 deliveries and Reifer, 57 not out from just 19 deliveries.

Man-of-the-Match Reifer then returned with his left-arm seam to inflict more pain on his former franchise, claiming three for 16 as Royals made a fist of it before crumbling for 121 with a delivery left to spare at Warner Park here yesterday.

Harry Tector struck 35 from 18 balls, Corbin Bosch 33 from 18 deliveries and Rahkeem Cornwall, an eight-ball 25 at the top of the order but fast bowler Nicholson Gordon (2-18) combined with Reifer to hurt the innings.

The headlines all belonged to Jangoo and Reifer, however. With Tallawahs on 63 for three in the fifth over, the duo combined in a brutal assault for the fourth wicket which yielded 102 runs from a mere 31 deliveries.

Opener Jangoo belted four fours and half-dozen sixes while Reifer, arriving at number five, plundered eight fours and three sixes.

In reply, Cornwall lashed four sixes in a cameo before perishing in the second over and when Justin Greaves followed in the fourth over for nine, Royals were only 53 for two.

Bosch and Tector then came together in a 47-run, fourth wicket stand to revive the run chase before becoming two of four wickets to fall for 20 runs in the space of 17 balls, as the chase fell apart spectacularly.
