Cummings Lodge, Charlestown into Boys semi-final, New Campbellville, East Ruimveldt secure Girls quarterfinal wins

Defending champion Cummings Lodge, and Charlestown stormed their way into the Boys semi-final, while New Campbellville and East Ruimveldt punched their tickets to the Girls final four section, when the quarterfinal round in the ExxonMobil U14 Football Championship concluded yesterday.

Hosted at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue, Cummings Lodge crushed Dolphin Secondary 5-2. Duquan Thom bagged a double in the 38th and 40th minute, while Rovin Henry, Tyrel Walcott, and Montell Marks scored in the 32nd, 34th and 42nd minute respectively.

On target for the losers in the 33rd, and 36th minute respectively were Jason Sandiford and Malachai Gowen.

Similarly, Charlestown brushed aside North Ruimveldt 5-1. Nicholas Nieuelder registered a doubled in the eighth and 30th, while Colwin Kissoon tallied a double in the 40th and 42nd minute. Adding a goal was Dequan Cox in the 39th minute.

For the loser, Dalon Wray scored in the 11th minute. Meanwhile, in the girls division, New Campbellville crushed Ann’s Grove 4-1. Michesha Osbourne fashioned a hat-trick in the third, seventh, and ninth minute. Contributing a goal in the 42nd minute was Jorcialy Sallina.

For the loser, Keshaiya Tixey found the back of the net in the 43rd minute. Also, East Ruimveldt edged West Ruimveldt 1-0, compliments of an Akeela Hazel strike in the third minute.
