Reference is made to letter from Mr. Wesley Kirton on September 3 under the caption “I responded to the ministry’s email…”While we have no wish to perpetuate a public debate on the matter we do feel constrained to point out that Mr. Kirton’s acknowledgement therein of having received an email from the Director of Business and Entrepreneur Development firmly establishes the inaccuracy of Stabroek Business’ assertion to the effect that no response to the enquiry was forthcoming. The Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce will continue to engage all stakeholders in the sector and to assist them in their endeavours wherever possible with the resources at our disposal.
