New York’s Blackpool FC to host luncheon here for former local footballers

Blackpool FC of New York, which was formed in 1971 by former Guyanese footballers who had migrated to the USA in the late 1960/70s, will host their second luncheon for former local footballers tomorrow at the TT Marshall Cottages in Anira Street, Queenstown.

This was disclosed by an official release from the entity. The release further stated that two trophies have been donated by the organisation as prizes for two fixtures which will occur on Sunday at the Georgetown Football Club ground, Bourda, Georgetown.

In the opening match, Santos Masters will oppose Wales of West Demerara at 13:00hrs, while the second engagement will pit Victoria Masters against Beacons Masters from 15:00hrs.
