Vishaul Kumar, 35, a contractor of West Ruimveldt Housing Scheme, Georgetown was yesterday charged with the attempted murder of Ravindra Dhari.
A statement from the police said that the accused appeared at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court to answer to the charge, he was not required to plead and was subsequently remanded to prison.
The matter was adjourned until 2022/11/10.
Kumar is accused of committing the offence on 2022/10/04 at Non Pariel, East Coast Demerara. Dhari is currently hospitalised in a critical condition.
Kumar was subsequently arrested on 2022/10/05 by a police constable stationed at the Vigilance Police Station.
